IMPORTATION INSPECTION, TESTING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OF GOODS TO IRAQ (ICIGI) Iraq’s Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control

The Iraqi government has appointed and approved two additional companies for the VoC (Verification of Conformity) inspections. For the central and the southern regions of Iraq there are now four officially appointed companies to carry out the VoC inspections:

* Bureau VERITAS
* Cotecna
* SEC of China
* TÜV of Germany

Important Notice
Bureau VERITAS provides approvals for shipments destined for all Iraq inclusive the Iraqi Kurdish Region (KRG). SGS only provide approval for shipments destined to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (KRG) via the KRG entry points. For more information visit: www.sgs.com
Issues and procedures about the translation of Invoices/packing lists etc…
Ministry of Oil started insisting that the invoices and packing lists should be translated into the Arabic language. We presume that other Ministries/State Organizations will do the same.
Also the Iraqi Kurdistan Oil sector demands translation of invoices and packing list into the Kurdish-Sorani language.
